Advancial Announces Ultimate Checking

June 8, 2017

Advancial Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce a new checking account product: Ultimate Checking.

“We began by consulting with our members to determine which features they preferred so as to create the best product for both current and future Advancial members," said Brent Sheffield, President and CEO of Advancial. "The launch of Ultimate Checking is the culmination of a tremendous amount of hard work by many members of the team across almost the entire organization."

Ultimate Checking replaces three of Advancial’s current checking products and combines the most popular features of each. The account includes no monthly service fee, access to the shared branching network, unlimited free ATMs and debit card reward points. Advancial members who use both Ultimate Checking and their Advancial Visa® Rewards Plus credit card can combine their points to earn even greater rewards.

In addition to these features, Ultimate Checking includes free checks and unlimited rebates of other banks’ ATM fees. “This is a very consumer-friendly account,” said Sheffield. “We have removed the fine print for an overall better banking experience. Unlike many other checking accounts, Advancial’s Ultimate Checking caps the daily fee on overdrafts to two $25 charges, saving our members money and taking the frustration out of banking.”

Since Ultimate Checking launched earlier this year, account growth has increased steadily, reflecting consumer appreciation of the new product. From March to May 2017, new accounts have increased by almost 25% over the same period in 2016, putting Advancial on track for an exceptionally successful year.

With a history dating back to 1937, Advancial provides a diversified line of advanced financial solutions to its members. Today, Advancial is a full-service financial institution that serves more than 80,000 members worldwide and has assets of approximately $1.4 billion. Advancial Employees Volunteer at Vogel Alcove

May 22, 2017

Advancial Federal Credit Union employees spent time on Monday giving back to the Dallas community at Vogel Alcove.

“Advancial offers every employee 16 hours of paid time to spend volunteering in our communities,” said Brent Sheffield, President and CEO of Advancial. “We actively encourage Advancial employees to use this time by offering specific volunteer opportunities at Advancial-sponsored charities. Vogel Alcove is an organization we’re proud to work with because it promotes so much good in the Dallas area.”

Vogel Alcove offers therapeutic education programs that are specifically designed to support children ages six weeks to 12 years who are experiencing the trauma of homelessness. It is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and provides its services at no charge. Vogel Alcove provides education and daycare services to homeless families as well as everyday necessities, such as clothing, shoes, toys and diapers.

On Monday, May 15, Advancial employees helped Vogel Alcove staff with a tea party at Dallas Heritage Village. Volunteers set out plates, napkins and cups, and served apple juice, muffins, cakes and strawberries to kids ranging from 18 months to preschool age. “This experience was truly humbling,” said Laurelle Campbell, Director of Employee Development. “It’s easy to get caught up in the drive of daily life and forget how fortunate we are. Working with these children today inspired me to have a conversation with my son about being grateful for all of our blessings and make plans to give back to the community by donating our excess toys and clothes.”

Today, Advancial is a full-service financial institution that serves more than 80,000 members worldwide and has assets of approximately $1.3 billion.
