    Annual Meeting

    The 2026 Annual Meeting will be hosted online and in person on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. CST.

    Mark your calendars for the 89th Annual Meeting!

    The Annual Meeting is open to all members and is an opportunity for you to learn more about Advancial. During the meeting officials will review Advancial’s performance in 2025, share plans for the coming year and announce the board of directors for the 2026 term.

    2026 Board of Directors Election Notice

    Advancial’s Board of Directors consists of seven members who volunteer their time and expertise to serve the Credit Union. Each year a Nominating Committee nominates a slate of candidates to fill each position expiring on the Board of Directors for a two-year term. The nominees are as follows (in alphabetical order):

    Lesa Adair

    Lesa Adair has been a member of Advancial since 1990. Lesa was elected to the Board of Directors in 2020 and currently serves as the Board’s Vice Chair.

    Michelle Blasingame

    Michelle Blasingame has been a member of Advancial since 1984. Michelle was elected to the Board of Directors in 1990 and currently serves as the Board’s Treasurer.

    Susan Starr

    Susan Starr has been a member of Advancial since 1989. Susan was appointed as an Alternate Director in 2020.

    Kyle Villyard

    Kyle Villyard has been a member of Advancial since 1997. Kyle was elected to the Board of Directors in 2003.

    Further nominations may be made by official petition. Nominees must be at least 18 years of age and a member in good standing. To be eligible to run by petition, the nominee must file a petition including: (1) a petition form containing signatures of 500 members in good standing; (2) a signed statement from the nominee indicating the nominee’s agreement to the nomination and willingness to serve, if elected; (3) a brief description (100 words or less) of qualifications and biographical data; and (4) a black and white photograph. All petitions must be submitted to Advancial’s corporate office located at 10000 N. Central Expy., Ste. 1400, Dallas, TX 75231, by 5:00 p.m. CST on November 6, 2025.     When there is only one nominee for each expiring term, an election by ballot will not be conducted and there will be no nominations from the floor. If the number of nominees exceeds the number of positions to be filled, ballots will be provided to all eligible voting members at least 35 days prior to the Annual Meeting. Detailed voting instructions will be provided with the ballots.

    The Annual Meeting will be hosted in person, with an online option.

    You may join us online or in person at the Farmers Branch Community Recreation Center located at 14050 Heartside Place, Farmers Branch, TX 75234.

    Advancial will be using Zoom for online attendance. The Zoom platform features both video and audio conferencing.
     
    • Video conferencing using a computer, tablet or smartphone – You will be able to hear and see the presentations given by officials during the meeting. You do not need a webcam.
    • Audio conferencing via dial-in by phone – You will be able to hear the reports given by officials; however, you will not be able to see the video feed.
    After you register to attend the Annual Meeting, you will receive a registration confirmation email with information to join the Annual Meeting using a PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone or Android device, or by telephone. You will also receive reminder emails. Simply click on the links and follow the instructions to join the meeting.

    You may attend the Annual Meeting by telephone without the need of a computer or Zoom account. Your registration confirmation will include instructions on joining the meeting by telephone. You can join as a participant without creating an account. Members choosing to only dial in by phone will not be able to see the meeting presentation or have access to all participation options offered through the Zoom platform.

    The registration for the Annual Meeting is required whether you plan to attend in person or online. Registration is not a commitment to attend the event; however, this allows us to confirm the membership of each attendee for required recordkeeping. 

    If more than one Advancial member in your household will be attending the Annual Meeting, please register each Advancial member individually. You do not need to log in separately to view and attend the Annual Meeting.
    The Annual Meeting will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. Our meeting room at the Farmers Branch Community Recreation Center will be open beginning at 6:30 for those planning to attend in person.

    For those attending online, we recommend joining at least 5 – 10 minutes early to ensure volume and internet connection are clear. We suggest that members do not wait until March 11 to test their ability to connect to the Zoom platform. You can test your connection here: Zoom Test Meeting.
    No, there are no prizes or giveaways provided for attending the Annual Meeting.

    During the New Business portion of the Annual Meeting, members have the opportunity to ask questions. Online participants will use the meeting’s Chat feature.  We encourage you to submit your question by emailing us at annualmeeting@advancial.org prior to the Annual Meeting.
    No, the three candidates nominated by the Nominating Committee to fill the three positions expiring for the 2025 term are unopposed. The deadline for additional nominations closed on November 6, 2024. Since the nominations are equal to the number of positions expiring, the three candidates will be declared elected by acclamation during the 2025 Annual Meeting.
    The Annual Report and last year’s Annual Meeting minutes will be published to this page the week of the Annual meeting. You can view and download an electronic copy of both documents by clicking the links above.
