No, your savings account is your share in Advancial. It gives you ownership and voting rights at the credit union. A savings account with a small initial deposit of just $5 is required to access all of Advancial’s financial services.
Yes, all of our checking accounts allow you to use any ATM worldwide, whether it’s an Advancial ATM or an ATM from another financial institution, for free. If you are charged ATM fees from another financial institution, we will automatically reimburse those fees.
All members receive one free box of checks per year.

Advancial offers two overdraft protection options: Overdraft Transfers and Check Clear® Courtesy Overdraft Privilege. These services can help you avoid declined transactions in case of insufficient funds. Enrollment is required to utilize these services. If you choose to enroll your checking account in both Overdraft Transfers and Check Clear Courtesy Overdraft Privilege, we will attempt to cover the transaction by the transfer method before using Check Clear.

    Overdraft Transfers
    • A free service that uses funds from a designated account in order to cover overdrafts
    • Monthly transfer limits and excessive withdrawal fees may apply for certain designated accounts. Funds transferred from a designated line of credit will incur a finance charge. Lines of credit are subject to credit qualification and approval
    Check Clear Courtesy Overdraft Privilege
    • A discretionary service that may cover overdrafts up to your courtesy overdraft limit
    • Check Clear is to members 18 years of age or older and in good standing with the Credit Union
    • A $10 fee applies for each covered transaction, up to a daily maximum
    • Your account must be brought to a positive balance within 45 days. Check Clear services may be revoked if your account remains negative for more than 30 days.
    • The types of transactions covered by Check Clear depend on the coverage level selected:

Standard Check Clear covers following transactions: (1) Checks and other transactions made using your checking account number and (2) Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions

    Checking 101

A checking account that makes you pay to access your own money is no friend to your finances. The truth is, plenty of banks charge fees that can chip away at your account balance. That’s not the case at Advancial. As a not-for-profit credit union, our checking accounts are designed to benefit your bottom line, not a bank’s shareholders.
